All Tussey Mountain schools are on a two hour delay tomorrow, Wednesday, January 10th.

Elementary Flex Day Schedule



All Tussey Mountain schools are canceled tomorrow, Tuesday, January 9th. We will be using a Flexible Instruction Day. Parents can check our website to see the MS/HS schedule.

Due to the arrival of inclement weather, we want our students to be prepared if we decide to use a flexible instruction day, which we will announce if we close schools. This year students in the middle/high school will be required to sign in to Canvas or Google Classroom during the time they are regularly in class. We have posted the regular class schedule on our website under the MS/HS heading to help students manage their instructional day. Thank you.

The Tussey Mountain PTO meeting will be held on Monday January 8, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. in the elementary library.

Due to the current power outage in Saxton, both school buildings will be dismissing early today. Elementary students will begin loading buses at 12:30 pm, parent pickups will begin at 12:20 pm. Middle school and High school students will begin loading buses at 12:45 pm.

Bus 27 Robertsdale area is running 15 minutes behind schedule this morning Tuesday December 19th.

Reminder, there is no After School or After 3 program for students this week. Students will be sent home at regular time.

Bus 15 Joyce Gabrielson is experiencing mechanical difficulties in the Puttstown area of Saxton. A replacement bus is being sent to take students home. Students will arrive home approximately 20-30 minutes late.

Bus 28, Eric Crooks is running 15 to 20 minutes behind schedule today December 7th.

On Monday, December 4 at 5:30, all parents and community members are invited to attend an informational session aimed at helping students cope with loss following a peer death, as well as steps that can be taken at home and in the community to help prevent adolescent suicide. The session will take place in the High School Auditorium and also be hosted live via Zoom. Parents and concerned community members are encouraged to participate and submit questions they may have in advance using the link provided at tmsd.net.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of one of our Tussey Mountain High School students, Timothy Cromwell. Grief counselors will be available at the school district in the coming days to help students and staff cope with this loss. During school this week, your student will be notified of Timothy’s death. The student body as a whole will also be participating in some suicide post-vention activities.

We also ask that you notify your student of your wishes for them not to participate in these discussions.

Please be reminded that Thanksgiving break starts Wednesday, November 22 and ends on Monday, November 27. Classes will resume on Tuesday, November 28.

Attention Parents, Bus 4 is experiencing mechanical issues at the elementary school. A different bus is being sent to transport students home. Due to these issues bus 4 will be approximately 20 minutes behind schedule today November 20th.

Tussey Mountain Elementary picture retakes have been rescheduled for Tuesday December 5th.

Reminder that the PTO fundraiser pickup is Tuesday November 14th from 4:00 to 5:30 in the elementary gym. Fundraisers will not be available for pickup before 4:00.

Students will not have school on Thursday, November 9 for an Act 80 Day and Friday, November 10 for Veterans Day.
