Attention Parents, Bus 4 is experiencing mechanical issues at the elementary school. A different bus is being sent to transport students home. Due to these issues bus 4 will be approximately 20 minutes behind schedule today November 20th.

Tussey Mountain Elementary picture retakes have been rescheduled for Tuesday December 5th.

Reminder that the PTO fundraiser pickup is Tuesday November 14th from 4:00 to 5:30 in the elementary gym. Fundraisers will not be available for pickup before 4:00.

Bus 15 Joyce Gabrielson is running 15-20 minutes behind schedule today November 13th.

Students will not have school on Thursday, November 9 for an Act 80 Day and Friday, November 10 for Veterans Day.

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of one of our Tussey Mountain High School seniors; Abbie Saylor. Grief counselors will be available at the school district in the coming days to help students and staff cope with this loss. Students will be discussing how to access counseling services during the first period tomorrow. If you would prefer your student to be excused from class discussions regarding loss and available services, please contact the middle/ high school office at 814-635-2975 or email jshoemake@tmsd.net. We also ask that you notify your student of your wishes that they do not participate in this discussion so that they can report to the appropriate location. If you or some one you know is experiencing thoughts of suicide or self-harm, we encourage you to call or text 988, the national suicide hotline.

Thursday, October 26 is the last day of marking period 1. There will be an early dismissal on Friday, October 27 for all students. Elementary parent pickups will begin at 12:40 p.m. and buses will begin dismissal at 12:50 p.m. Middle School and High School will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. There will NOT be afternoon preschool or vo-tech on Friday.

Reminder: Monday, October 9, is a Professional Development day and there is no school for students. The 23-24 School Calendar is available to view on the TMSD website.

The district received notification from the Pennsylvania State Police this week that a nationwide bomb threat campaign targeting school in Pennsylvania is occurring. This morning, members of our district received a threatening email from this campaign. Out of an abundance of caution, students evacuated the building while the building was inspected. State Police are aware of the situation and have advised us that the threat is not credible. We will continue with our normal day as scheduled.

Just a reminder...Meet the Titans is this evening (Thursday, August 17th) at 7:30 pm at the football field!

Middle School and High School student schedules can now be viewed on the Sapphire Community Web Portal. To access the schedule begin by clicking on the button labeled "Go to My Backpack" and then click the link for Courses & Grades on the left side menu. Any questions or concerns regarding schedule changes will be addressed starting the first day of school. Students will be called by grade level to address any concerns he or she may have. According to the parent handbook, parents / students can request schedule changes during the first 10 days of school.

Tussey Mountain Elementary Meet the Teacher Night will be held on Thursday August 17th. Kindergarten Meet the Teacher will be from 5:30 to 6:30. Grades one and two will be from 6:00 to 7:00. Grades three and four will be from 6:30 to 7:30. Title I, Learning Support and specialists will be available from 6:00 to 7:00.

Reminder to 5th Grade students and families: 5th Grade Orientation will be held next Wednesday, August 16th at 5:00. Please enter through the auditorium doors. We look forward to seeing you!

Attention Tussey Mountain Seniors and Families: Just a reminder... Provine Senior Photos are scheduled for Wednesday, August 2, 2023 and Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Tussey Mountain High School. If your assigned time slot from Provine does not work for your schedule, you are welcome to come at any time from 9:00 am through 1:00 pm either day. If you have any questions and/or concerns, please contact the high school office at (814) 635-2975. Our summer office hours are Monday through Thursday 6:00 am - 4:00 pm. Thank You!

Don't forget to register your student for Preschool, Kindergarten or Head Start! Registrations are being accepted now. Go to tmsd.net to complete a new student registration. Registrations must be submitted by July 14th for your child's name to be included in homeroom listings.
