 COVID-19 Protocol

 Guidance for individuals exposed to COVID-19 (regardless of vaccination status):

  • Quarantining at home is no longer necessary

  • It is recommended, but not required, that individuals wear a high-quality mask for 10 days after the exposure.

  • Individuals should watch for symptoms to develop for 10 days after the exposure

  • If symptoms develop, the individual should isolate immediately, get tested, and stay home until they receive results.

 Guidance for Individuals Who Test Positive for COVID-19 (regardless of vaccination status):

  •  Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 should stay home/isolate for at least 5 days (start of symptoms is day zero)

  •  For individuals with mild, symptomatic COVID-19, isolation can end 5 days after symptom onset provided:

    • Any fever that was present has ended at least 24 hours prior (without the use of fever-reducing medication) and

    • Overall symptoms are improving.

  • Asymptomatic (no symptoms) COVID-19 positive cases should isolate for 5 days (test day is day zero)

  • All individuals who tested positive must continue to properly wear a high-quality mask around others for 5 more days after the 5-day isolation period is complete.
