According to Section 1073.1 of the Pennsylvania School Code, superintendents must be evaluated via an annual performance review using object performance standards.

At the August 21, 2023 meeting of the Tussey Mountain School Board of Directors the board determined a rating of proficient for Superintendent Dr. Jerry Shoemake for the 2022-2023 school year.
