Bus 10- (Little Valley Area) is running 15 minutes behind schedule.

Please be reminded that Thanksgiving break starts Wednesday, November 27 and ends on Monday, December 2. Classes will resume on Tuesday, December 3. We hope you and your family have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Due to inclement weather in the Broad Top area we will be dismissing students in the district at approximately 1:00 pm today. Buses will pickup at the high school first and then the elementary building. The AM Preschool group is returning home at regular time and the PM Preschool group will be dismissed at 1:00 pm with the high school building. Elementary parent pickups may begin pickup at 12:45 pm. There will be no vo-tech and no afterschool activities. Maverick's Mission assemblies have also been postponed.

This afternoon, November 21, the middle/high school was evacuated as a precautionary measure due to a fire alarm triggered by a faulty sensor. As per protocol, all students and staff safely evacuated the building and remained outside until the Saxton Fire Company cleared the premises for re-entry. Classes have resumed as normal following the all-clear to return to the building.

Bus 23 (Cherrytown) is running 10-15 minutes behind schedule this afternoon November 20th.

This is a reminder that there is no school for students this Friday, November 8, as it is an Act 80 day for the district. Additionally, there will be no school on Monday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day. School will resume on Tuesday. Enjoy the long weekend!

We wanted to remind you that Thursday, October 24, marks the last day of Marking Period 1. Students will be dismissed early on Friday, October 25. Middle School and High School will be dismissed at 12:40 p.m. Elementary parent pickups will begin at 12:45 p.m., and buses will load at 12:50 p.m. Please note that there will be no afternoon preschool or votech classes on Friday. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

This is a reminder that there is no school for students on Monday, October 14, 2024. We hope you enjoy the long weekend! We also want to remind you that picture day is coming up soon! Picture day for elementary students will be on Wednesday, October 16. Picture day for students in grades 5-11 and preschool will be on Thursday, October 17. Please be sure to have your child's picture form and payment ready on the day of their picture.

At approximately 9:15 the district was made aware, by PA State Police, of screenshots circulating a snapchat message alleging violence against a school.  The messages did not indicate a particular school as a target since the message was very general.  Pennsylvania State Police were made aware of this last night and have been working into the night to follow every possible lead to determine both the origin and validity of the message.  Ultimately, with the resources of PSP, they were able to determine these messages were part of a larger Snapchat hoax and there is no credible threat to our schools.  We have learned the message can be traced to Frederick County, Virginia.

Attention Parents/Guardians: There were questionable emails sent to students at the middle school and high school. Some of the emails contained disturbing images. We were made aware of this situation this morning and took immediate action to lock the accounts and go through each account individually. Our IT department is working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you.

The Tussey Mountain Middle School and High School bell schedule is now posted on the website at: tmsd.net. The Middle School and High School schedule has changed slightly. The Elementary School schedule has no change. School bus pick up times may be 5 to 10 minutes earlier than last year. Thank you.

Just a reminder that Summer Academy and After 3 Summer Programming will start Monday, June 3rd. Bus stops and times have been posted to the district website and Facebook page. Please report to the bus stop ten minutes before the anticipated stop time, as these are estimates and subject to change. We encourage all parents to accompany their student(s) to bus stops and supervise arrivals and departures. Looking forward to seeing our students Monday!

This is a friendly reminder that PSSA testing starts next week. Students in grades 3 and 4 will begin on Monday, April 22nd, and grades 5 through 8 will begin on Tuesday, April 23rd. We kindly ask that you help your child get to school on time and well-rested for their PSSA tests. All students will be given the opportunity to eat breakfast at school. We appreciate your cooperation in making sure your child has a successful testing experience.

Due to continuing flooding concerns the Tussey Mountain School District will be dismissing early today, Wednesday, April 3. Elementary parent pickups will begin at 12:45 pm and buses will pickup at 12:50 pm. Middle/High School will begin dismissing at 1:00 pm. There will be no afternoon preschool today, no afterschool or after three programming, and no athletic activities. Additionally, the Claysburg pizza fundraiser delivery has been rescheduled until Friday, April 5.

All after school activities are canceled for today, April 2nd due to rising water concerns.

Due to flooding in some areas of the district, After School and After 3 programming is canceled for Tuesday April 2, 2024. All students will be sent home on regular buses.
