
All Tussey Mountain schools will be utilizing a Flexible Instruction Day tomorrow, Tuesday January 21. Elementary School students will follow the flex day schedule that was sent home with them, this is also available on the elementary school website. Elementary Teachers will provide flex day instructions and links for live sessions through Google Classroom and the School Status messaging app. Middle School and High School students will be doing synchronous learning activities during Flexible Instruction. Students should log in starting with their first period and follow their regular schedule. The bell schedule is also available on the TMSD website. Attendance will be taken each period and students must complete their learning activities. Students will have a regular day from 7:53-2:40.

We would like to remind you of a few upcoming important dates:
Tuesday, January 14 is the last day of Marking Period 2.
Friday, January 17 is an early dismissal for all students.
Middle and High School will be dismissed at 12:40 p.m.
Elementary School will begin parent pickups at 12:45 p.m. and buses load at 12:50 p.m.
There will be no afternoon preschool or votech classes on this day.
Monday, January 20, there will be no school in observance of Martin Luther King Jr Day.
There is also no school Friday, January 24 as this is a professional development day for staff only.

Attention Tussey Mountain Families:
On Thursday, January 9, 2025, the founders of Maverick's Mission will visit our school to discuss various topics regarding Mental Health and Teen Suicide. PJ Shell, a father who unfortunately lost his child to suicide, will also be holding a community presentation from 6 to 8:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Doors will open at 5.
We encourage everyone to attend this important event and take the opportunity to hear this moving story. We hope to see you there!

Late bus alert:
If your student rides bus number 1 or bus number 4, the bus will be arriving late today. Please expect students to be delayed anywhere from 15 to 20 minutes this afternoon.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
This is a reminder that we will be on Christmas Break from December 21 through January 1. Students will return to school on Thursday, January 2.

Due to the current sleeting and weather forecast, tonight's choir/bell concert has been cancelled.

Bus 27 and Bus 6 are running behind schedule today 12/12/24

All after school activities are cancelled for today, Wednesday, Dec 11.

Bus 23 Cherrytown (Carol Stull) is running 20-25 minutes behind schedule today December 10th.

Bus 10- (Little Valley Area) is running 15 minutes behind schedule.

Please be reminded that Thanksgiving break starts Wednesday, November 27 and ends on Monday, December 2. Classes will resume on Tuesday, December 3. We hope you and your family have a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Due to inclement weather in the Broad Top area we will be dismissing students in the district at approximately 1:00 pm today. Buses will pickup at the high school first and then the elementary building. The AM Preschool group is returning home at regular time and the PM Preschool group will be dismissed at 1:00 pm with the high school building. Elementary parent pickups may begin pickup at 12:45 pm. There will be no vo-tech and no afterschool activities. Maverick's Mission assemblies have also been postponed.

This afternoon, November 21, the middle/high school was evacuated as a precautionary measure due to a fire alarm triggered by a faulty sensor. As per protocol, all students and staff safely evacuated the building and remained outside until the Saxton Fire Company cleared the premises for re-entry. Classes have resumed as normal following the all-clear to return to the building.

Bus 23 (Cherrytown) is running 10-15 minutes behind schedule this afternoon November 20th.

This is a reminder that there is no school for students this Friday, November 8, as it is an Act 80 day for the district. Additionally, there will be no school on Monday, November 11, in observance of Veterans Day.
School will resume on Tuesday. Enjoy the long weekend!
