Dear Parents,
We are currently working with the Bedford County Commissioners to increase internet coverage to reach all of the homes in our district. This is a huge project that we need your help with. The FCC is developing maps of the area that list every home and whether or not it has internet available. They have just completed rough drafts of the Bedford and Huntingdon County maps, and the FCC has announced that there may be changes needed. Here’s where you come in. If you could please follow the link we have provided and check your home address, you can let the FCC know if they listed you correctly. The FCC will use these corrected maps to determine the total needs so they can allocate the money we need to make this happen. The deadline is January 13, 2023.

Go to FCC Map - https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home
Put in your address
Once the map comes up – locate your address – confirm it is in the correct spot geographically
Make sure fixed broadband is highlighted in window to the right
Click on wheel icon across from Broadband in window to right
Click on residential at top, then All wired and licensed fixed wireless – close window
Your Status should now be correct.
If your location or internet status is not correct, click on either Location Challenge or Availability Challenge in window to right and follow directions to correct the map.
