Congratulations to Landon Melius and Ashton "Big A" Little! Both wrestled at the Keystone State Championships over the weekend and made it onto the podium. Landon finished 4th in the 8U 90lb weight class and Ashton finished 7th in the 6U 41 lb weight class. Congratulations boys!

Due to the current power outage in Saxton, both school buildings will be dismissing early today. Elementary students will begin loading buses at 12:30 pm, parent pickups will begin at 12:20 pm. Middle school and High school students will begin loading buses at 12:45 pm.

Due to Kindergarten parent lunches being held on Thursday September 21st and 28th, the elementary lunch offerings for those days will be pasta with meat sauce, garden salad, breadstick, fresh fruit, and milk. The alternative will be chicken patty or pbj.

Tussey Mountain Elementary School will be holding “Meet the Teacher Night” on August 17, 2023. “Meet the Teacher Night” is an opportunity for families to see their child’s classroom for the upcoming school year and for parents and students to meet the classroom teachers. Teachers will be providing information about the upcoming school year and parents will have the opportunity to talk to the teachers. The schedule for “Meet the Teacher Night” will be as follows: Thursday August 17, 2023 Kindergarten 5:30-6:30 Grade One and Grade Two 6:00-7:00 Grade Three and Grade Four 6:30-7:30 Learning Support, Itinerants 6:00-7:00

The federal funds that are received by the district support supplemental instruction, reinforce the regular school curriculum, and provide academic intervention to students in both Math and Reading. Spring Break for Tussey Mountain School District is Thursday, April 6 through Monday, April 10. All schools in the Tussey Mountain School District will be closed on those dates. Students will return to school on Tuesday, April 11.

There is an early dismissal scheduled for Friday, March 24. Elementary parent pickups will begin at 12:45 p.m., buses will begin dismissal at 12:50 p.m. Middle School and High School will be dismissed at 1:00 p.m. There will be NO afternoon preschool and NO vo-tech on Friday.
