Tussey Mountain Elementary School operates a Weekend Backpack Program for students that have a risk of hunger outside of school. Participating students receive a meal kit each Friday which provides them with meals to last through the weekend. If your child has a need to participate in the program, please contact our office.
The Weekend Backpack Program is fully funded by donations. If you would like to donate to the Weekend Backpack Program, you can drop off donations at the Tussey Mountain Elementary School office. We gladly accept shelf-stable food items or monetary donations. Checks should be made payable to Tussey Mountain Backpack Program. If you would like to volunteer to assist with the Weekend Backpack Program, please contact the Tussey Mountain Elementary School office at 635-2934.
