On March 25, the Alpha Beta Chapter of The Delta Kappa Gamma Society International ( a professional honorary Society of women educators that promotes professional and personal growth of its members and excellence in education) will be honoring high school teacher, Mrs. Amy Snyder, as a Key Woman Educator.

This honor goes to women who are outstanding in their field, make a positive difference in the lives of students, actively engage students in the teaching/learning process, strive for excellence in education, rise above the status quo, and bring out the best in others. We were impressed, not only by Mrs. Snyder's work in her classroom, but also by how involved she is in extra-curricular activities. And, we appreciate that she takes time out of her day to help other teachers with educational technology needs.

We are delighted to bestow this honor on Mrs. Snyder. And, we congratulate the Tussey Mountain School District for all that it is doing to make a difference in the lives of its teachers and students.
