COVID-19 Guidance
School Nurses

We currently have no knowledge of a positive COVID-19 case within our school district. These guidelines will be followed out of an abundance of caution to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within our school community. Please follow these guidelines to help keep our school community safe.
1. My child had close contact with someone who has COVID-19 and will not have any further contact.
- KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME
- Your child should quarantine for 14 days from the date they had close contact.
- Please contact your child’s doctor regarding testing.
- Please contact the school nurse BEFORE sending your child back to school
2. My child had close contact with someone who has COVID-19 (live with infected person)
- KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME- You will be contacted by the PA Department of Health when your child’s quarantine period should end.
- Please contact your child’s doctor regarding testing.
- Please contact the school nurse BEFORE sending your child back to school.
3. My child is having COVID-19 symptoms but has not had a known exposure
- KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME
- Please contact your child’s doctor regarding testing and notify the school nurse.
- If your child tests positive for COVID-19, they will need clearance from the Pennsylvania Department of Health to return to school.
- Please contact the school nurse BEFORE sending your child back to school.
4. If anyone in your household is being tested for COVID-19
- KEEP YOUR CHILD HOME- If results are negative, your child may return to school. If positive, refer to one of the situations above.
