Drive Through Graduation

On Thursday, June 4th, the District will be conducting a drive through Graduation Ceremony beginning at 5 p.m. The Graduation Ceremony will be conducted under the current Pennsylvania Department of Health guidelines for proper social distancing.  Only cars with a Graduating Senior will be granted entrance. Seniors are encouraged to have a parent or guardian drive so they can enjoy the parade.

We will begin with a parade followed by a brief graduation ceremony where each student will be awarded their diploma.  We will stage the parade on Shoup Street. Cars are invited to line up after 4:30 entering the High School end of Shoup Street and starting the head of the line at the VFW field.  Fire Companies will be placed at the Stoudnour Car wash to escort the Seniors through town.  Cars, with the graduates, will follow the fire trucks through the parade route down Main Street.  Family and Friends are encouraged to line the parade route practicing social distancing. Seniors are encouraged to decorate their cars and are required to wear their cap and gowns.  The parade will continue through town entering Front Street where the cars, with each graduate, will enter the High School at the Library entrance and proceed to the front of the building where they will receive their diploma.  As you approach the entrance of the high school cones will mark where your car is to stop. Officials will be present to assist in directing you. ONLY the graduate will exit the car and receive their diploma and other certificates. All others occupants will remain in the vehicle.  After receiving the diploma re-enter the vehicle and you are free to leave. This will conclude the ceremony.

Once the graduation ceremony concludes, a Youtube video commemorating this year will be available for viewing on Youtube. The link will be provided on the school webpage.

Lastly, in order to receive your diploma you must return any chromebooks, textbooks, or settle any other Senior obligations this week.
